On November 10th, Colorado Springs will smile with sublime gratification as it hosts the First Annual All Colorado Beer Festival. As of today, the voracious organizer for the event, Randy Dipner, has gathered 19 brewery's from around the state, with possibly more pondering their attendence on the other side of the statewide beer wormhole. Those harnessing hops into saliva inducing brews will have a collective total of 49 beers available for unlimited tasting.
If the beer doesn't provide enough mass to gravitate you into the festival, the beneficiaries should offer sufficient magnitude. The event will benefit the Bard's at Theatreworks and the hard working souls at the USO. If drinking beer for self-satisfaction is glorious, then drinking beer for charity is devine.
If your foresight is as acute as your beer drinking ability, you can purchase tickets in advance for the very respectable price of $20. If you're like me, and have trouble with commitment, you can still purchase tickets at the door for $25. Two drinking sessions will offer flexibility for those with tumultuous schedules. The first begins at noon and runs until 4:30, and the second begins at 5:30 at runs until 10:00.
Two bands will play at the event. The Jake Loggins Band will generate tunes during the first session, and Grass It Up will liven things up for the second session.
